Default Factions baddy = sephiroth...

Ok i was watching the cinamatic trailer for GW:F the guy in red who looks evil i dont know his name but he reminds me so much of sephiroth from ff7 for some reason, the part when they say hes waiting and they show his face while hes walking is pretty bad ass, i cant wait for this expansion

.. well, hello again, DKOH.

You seem to be making a number of interesting posts today.

I didn't find much resemblence to Sephiroth. If anything, I was reminded of The Wanderer from Diablo II--more his face.

I can't wait for the expansion, either. ;D

I don't know about him seeming like Sephiroth... but he does have all the classic bad ass quailities.

How what an assassin can do in one move many could not do together and turn everything to jade... yeah right lol

OK I just watched the cinematic again, and it is STILL very badass. Awesome

Also, upon closer look I noticed that the destructive wave he created at the end left many people in forms of statues... more specifically "jade" statues. I do suppose this is what all the buzz of Jades in chapter 2. It's a great reference to the hidden army of China's first emperor.

Allegedly theres so many of these statues, that not all have been uncovered yet.

Was I the only one who thought the statues looked broken into pieces perhaps sliced into pieces before turning into Jade? As though he cut and hacked them apart before being killed.

And poor birds... they should have flown a little higher that day.

It seemed that when he was fighting instead of bleeding the people just broke into pieces.

I take that as an insult.

In NO WAY was he like Sephiroth, for one there was no known reason why he was raping all of those dudes... and turning the land into a darker place, Sephiroth (if you know anything at all about VII) Had reason. To take the planet back for the cetra, to be the ruler of it, and become one with the lifestream thus using it to travel the galaxy.

and this is a direct quote:

"Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury. ...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha ha ha. And at the center of that injury, will be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with all the energy of the Planet, I will become a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet...I will cease to exist as I am now...Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every soul."

you cant flock with that!

and besides...

Sephiroths masamune > his dual scimitar things

He looks nothing like that pansy Sephiroth. Seriously he's the lamest most cliche villain ever. I loved that game but it's so overrated.

This guy was much cooler, and very bad ass.

Hm hm...well said, Wind of Horus, save for one thing.

Sephiroth was a prettyful sissyboy with an impossible sword and delusions of grandeur, while Shiro Tagachi was a serious badass in every sense of the word.

AND HE DIDN'T SLAUGHTER THE FRIGGIN' FLOWER GIRL AND MAKE LEGIONS OF OTHERWISE SENSIBLE GAMERS CRY!!

I have no clue what everyone sees in that whiney brat...>_<.

Dual scimitar > impossible katana.

...XP...

Yeah Shiro is the very definition of the stereotypical "omg badass heartless guy with a sword killing people just because he's hardcore" It reminds of the villain in every single bad book I have read and the behavior displayed by the gazillions of other bad guys ever.

So Aeris was praying to try to foil his plans? What is he supposed to do? Set back and watch it happen? (I hear bells ringing) Yeah sephiroth is a pansy cliquish villain just because he didnt go on an all out rampage, but instead, chose to manipulate the people and recources around him to achieve his ultimate goal, I think the word you were looking for was criminal mastermind. Shiro did put up a good fight though, a good 30 second fight, In the end getting pwnz0rd by a chick. (bad to the bone)

Please dont even use real life references in this. Its pointless. Because every day people send out shockwaves from their body and turn the sea into jade and the forests into stone, come on.

i think he's gonna be factions version of the lich. The trailer does say evil has returned (when showing the red rune on the floor by the frozen people)

new guy has some potential, but hes a long way from being in Sephiroth's league

Also, I think he was following an emperor or king at the start during the parade .... the first guy he killed. Deffinately a leader of some type. That may mean he was an advisor or someone trusted by the guy in charge.
